Product Overview

Brand: Midwest Hearth

Color: Dark Brown

Features:

  • SEALS THE GAP BETWEEN INSERT AND MASONRY – Designed to apply to the back of your fireplace insert's surround or flange, this fiberglass insulation strip fills the uneven space between the metal trim and the masonry opening behind it, helping to limit air leaks around your insert.
  • SELF-ADHESIVE BACKING – EASY TO APPLY – Peel the paper liner to expose the pressure-sensitive adhesive, press firmly to the back of the surround or flange, and slide the insert into place. No tools, no separate adhesive, no mess. The insulation compresses to conform to irregular stone and masonry surfaces.
  • DARK BROWN COLOR BLENDS IN – Unlike bright yellow or white fiberglass insulation, the dark brown color of this strip is far less visible against stone, brick, and dark masonry surrounds once your insert is in place — a cleaner, more finished look.
  • FIBERGLASS CONSTRUCTION, 225°F RATED – Made from heat-resistant fiberglass batting, this strip is rated to 225 degrees Fahrenheit and measures 1-1/2 inches wide by 10 feet long. Uncompressed thickness is approximately 1-1/2 inches, compressing to roughly 1/4 inch when the insert is seated.
  • REPLACE WITH EVERY CLEANING – Fireplace insert insulation should be replaced each time your insert is removed for cleaning or service. A fresh strip restores the air seal and keeps your fireplace performing properly season after season.
