- MATERIAL: The copper wire ferrules are made of 99.9% purity T2 red copper rather than brass. Pure copper has the highest electrical conductivity(IACS 100%) of any commercial metal. Brass is only 28% as conductive as copper. Some bronzes are as low as 7% as conductive as copper!
- FINISH: The copper wire ferrules are finished by Matte Tin Plating which is better for solderability, corrosion resistance, will also retain its original color under high temperatures, compared with Bright Tin Plating.
- They are carefully slipped over stripped wire and then permanently crimped into place. Once the ferrule is crimped, the wire is able to be inserted into a connector.
