- t 【Easy to Replace】Turn off the water first. Unscrew the handle, packing nut and old stem. Mounts to new stem using left or right hand packing parts. Then insert the assembled new stem. (Pre-tapped brass male threads go into the faucet and thread into place.) Tighten the original packing nut and screw the handle back onto the hydrant.
