- The body and base are made of ABS plastic, and the grinder is 9 1/4" high. It is easy to clean with a glass cleaner and a paper towel. It is made on Nantucket Island, USA, from parts made in the USA and Italy. This is our 39th year of making the world's best pepper grinders.
- Pepper mill with our fast grinding steel mechanism, salt mill with our non-corroding ceramic mechanism. PLEASE NOTE: Salt grinders will only grind dry, brittle salt no larger than a peppercorn. Most specialty salts are moist, and will soon clog the teeth of the mechanism..
- The bases are designed to allow salt and pepper residue to collect at the bottom of the base but not allow the grinder to touch the spice. Your tabletop will stay neat, and you can empty the base whenever needed.
- We wanted to make a set of tabletop grinders for the modern home, so we took our great Pepperstick design, built a new salt grinder in the same style, and added a beautiful base to hold the grinders.

The pepper mill has a fast grinding steel mechanism, the salt grinder has a non corroding ceramic mechanism (salt will corrode most metals). The exteriors clean easily with window cleaner and a paper towel, and will stay new looking almost indefinitely. The grinders will not stand upright but must be returned to the bases. This will keep your table top free of pepper and salt particles.
