Details: Designed for aggressive skiers at any skill level from beginner to advanced; SkiShins (2 pieces included) were created to reduce/prevent the nagging discomfort or even severe damage that can affect the shin area during skiing (i.e. shin-bang, shin-bite, blisters, bruising, sores, etc.). When properly fitting ski boots are not enough, not an option or impossible to attain due to your unique lower limb anatomy, SkiShins could be used as a cheap and effective alternative/complement to products or materials such as shinnies, shintronics, eliminator custom tongues, extra soft tongue replacements, heel wedges/lifts, double layer socks, neoprene, silicone gel pads, padded socks, shinshields / guards, etc. Constructed from PORON Memory Foam material which instantly reacts to shock impact by absorbing and dispersing the energy over and away from the protected area. This helps to prevent bruising and soreness caused by repetitive contact between the shin and the tongue/upper cuff of the ski boot. Double Sided Design includes a smooth anti-friction surface to be placed directly against the skin which can substantially reduce shear stresses even in moist conditions (e.g. perspiration, melted snow, etc.) which typically increase friction between the socks and skin to cause blisters. The other side has a rough texture in order to knit tightly with the sock rolled over it for a secure fit that requires no bulky straps or messy adhesives. Ergonomic Shape and 3mm Thickness specially developed to fit the contours of the leg, and protect the shin as much as possible without affecting the performance of the boot.
