Details: Prunus padus (European Bird Cherry), Tree with rising branches reaching 30' to 40' in height, rounded and low-branched. Flowers are white, fragrant, and 2/5" to 3/5" wide, borne in drooping, loose, 3" to 6" long racemes from mid-April to early May. In July and August, the fruit is black and 1/4" to 1/3" wide. One of the first trees to leaf out in the spring, with a golden to bronze fall hue.
