- How-To: For the first application, apply Rabbit MACE granular heavily and evenly 18” away from flowerbeds, ornamentals, gardens, ground cover, and crops in danger of rabbit browsing. Apply a 24” (2 foot) wide barrier around plant groups. You can also sprinkle between plant groups. With regular application, on a 7 to 10-day rotation, you’ll save shrubs, flowers, trees, and vegetables by teaching rabbits to stay clear of landscaped and garden areas.
