Details: When you need to replace thermocouple and how to test 1) Firstly, check if the thermocouple is full heated by the pilot flame. it need to be well heated then can creat voltage to open the gas valve. 2) if your pilot not work like gas magnet cannot hold , then it may need replace thermocouple 3) Replace the thermocouple on pilot bracket and then hold the gas valve for seconds, to see it can stick on. 4) If not stick on, you have to check if you have right gas type ( natural /lp) of the pilot, if you use wrong gas type the thermocouple may not get singal to open valve.
