Details: HOW IT WORKS: As Spotted Lanternflies and newly-hatched nymphs crawl up the trunk of your tree, our trap's mesh "apron" funnels them into the mesh cone and eventually into the "mesh house" at the top, where they are trapped and die. When the mesh house fills up over time, simply untie the string at the top of the mesh house to open and empty the trap. Then reattach and reuse! COMPATIBLE WITH MOST TREES: Our trap's mesh apron opening is about 16 inches wide and is suitable for trees with at least a six-inch diameter. For trees with diameters of 1.5 foot or more, consider using multiple traps to cover multiple sides of the trunk. SAFE AND SIMPLE: Our traps are safe for kids, pets, birds, squirrels, and butterflies, as only the upward-crawling Lanternflies are specifically targeted. INSTALLATION: The trap comes fully assembled and contains everything needed for use. Simply tie the trap's string directly to your tree's branch or, if no accessible branches, attach the included hook into the tree trunk and attach the trap's string to the hook. Then, use the provided thumbtacks to hold the bottom corners of the mesh apron in place on the tree.
