Details: A perennial shrub reaching 6 to12 inches in height that produces sweet, tasty, and extremely healthy berries. When planting in the spring, keep the seeds in a container with moist sand in the refrigerator for 3 months before planting. Sow seeds outdoors when the temp. is at least 60-68 °F into damp, well-draining, and acidic (4.5- 6pH) soil. You can use peat moss and silica sand. Plant 1/4” deep in the area with full sun or partial shade. Cover the soil with plastic until germination to create humidity but open it a bit if sun is too strong not to cook the seeds. Keep the soil moist but not soaked. When planted in the fall, seeds do not need to be stratified in the refrigerator prior to sowing as they will get a natural cold treatment throughout the winter.
