- SPECIAL FORMULA: Soft polishing compound with beeswax and lanoline. Helps to maintain the naturally supple leather surface of strops. The extra high content of abrasives allows for fast and effective sharpening and polishing of your blade. Ultra-high abrasive particles tolerance thanks to in-house micron sieve manufacturing process.
- NOT ONLY FOR LEATHER: Our honing compound works great if used on leather, cotton, felt, sisal or canvas. Great for manual polishing jewellery with a cloth or included leather pad. You can achieve high gloss finish not only on stainless steel straight razor or knife but also on high carbon steel, aluminium, copper, bronze, brass and gold or silver.
- HOW TO USE: Apply stropping compound sparingly onto leather or other material, you can use included leather applicator. Use light, fast strokes to colour in the strop. Usually, 1-2g per 100cm2 is enough. Thanks to a soft formula you do not need to heat anything, but you can use a hairdryer for better penetration if you like. Start honing your blade to spread the paste until you get a thin coating of the compound on your strop.
- GRIT: Bacher Honing Compounds are available in 4 grit sizes. Approximate grit size: Red 2000 (medium), White 5000 (fine), Green 8000 (very fine), Black 12000 (ultra fine).
