- Highly Accurate Testing: You must continue the test for one second after you first hear the beep before you can remove the detector from the gem stone, this is because the diamond test is done first. The moissanite test is completed after 1/2 second
- Easy to Use: If it is simulation or non-diamond, nothing happens. If it is diamond, the buzzer will sound and the green light (diamond) will come on for about 6 seconds. If it is moissanite, the tone will change and the light will switch from green to blue (moissanite) in 1/2 second
- NOTE: Our products are battery powered, with batteries, Without power cord. Battery and power cord can not be used at the same time, when installed battery can not use the power cord
- Hold the tester with the right hand so that the fingers rest on the back metal plate. The other hand must hold the metal to support the gemstone or metal test plate. Gently touch the tip of the probe at the center of the gemstone, (approximately 250 mg of pressure) Hold the tester perpendicular to the gemstone table for one second
- If the tone changes when you remove the probe, you must retest because you may have contacted a metal finding when you removed the probe. If the yellow ready indicator light flashes or fails to come on, you will need to replace the 9V battery; alkaline batteries are recommended
