Product Overview
Brand: Seeds Of Strength
Details: When to Plant: Outdoors (Direct Sowing): Late spring after the last frost when soil temperatures are consistently above 60F (15C). Indoors (Starting Seeds): 8-10 weeks before the last frost. Where to Plant: Light: Full sun (at least 6 hours of direct sunlight per day). Soil: Well-draining, sandy or loamy soil with neutral to slightly alkaline pH (6.0-7.5). Amend heavy clay soils with sand or compost to improve drainage. How to Plant: Prepare the Soil: Loosen the soil to a depth of 6-8 inches and remove any weeds or debris. Sowing Seeds: Direct Sowing: Scatter seeds thinly over the soil surface. Do not cover them, as they need light to germinate. Gently press them into the soil to ensure good contact. Starting Indoors: Sow seeds in seed trays filled with seed-starting mix. Barely cover the seeds with a light dusting of soil or vermiculite. Watering: Direct Sowing: Water gently with a fine mist to avoid displacing the seeds. Keep the soil consistently moist until germination. Starting Indoors: Water from the bottom by placing the tray in a shallow dish of water. Allow the soil to soak up the water, then remove the tray. Germination: Seeds should germinate in 2-3 weeks. Be patient, as thyme seeds can be slow to sprout.
